2. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Local storage is a similar feature that lets a website keep small pieces of information in your browser. Unlike cookies, local storage is not sent to the server with each request; it stays on your device unless the website’s own code reads it.
Both can be used for useful things, such as remembering a setting, or for tracking people across visits and websites. This website only does the first, and only in one place.

The entry is created only after you tap a footer section heading on a screen narrower than 768 pixels. It contains nothing more than which sections are open, for example {"explore":1}. It holds no personal data, is not linked to you, is never sent to our server and is not shared with anyone. On larger screens every footer section is shown in full and nothing is stored.
The rest of the website – the slideshow, the season slider, the room tabs, the image viewer and the interest list form – works without storing anything. The form does not save what you type; it only opens your email app with a prepared message.
4. What we do not use
- analytics or statistics tools of any kind;
- advertising or remarketing tags and pixels;
- social media buttons, feeds or embedded posts;
- embedded maps, videos or other content from third parties;
- fonts from external services – the typefaces are stored on this website;
- session recording, heatmaps or browser fingerprinting.
Links to other websites, such as Hjelpelinjen, are ordinary links. Those sites may use their own cookies once you visit them, under their own policies.
5. Files your browser keeps by itself
Like any website, the pages, images, styles and fonts of this site may be kept in your browser’s ordinary cache so that they load faster next time. This is done by your browser, not by us, contains no information about you and is not used to recognise you. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
6. Server logs are not cookies
The hosting server records basic technical information about each request, such as IP address, time and page requested. This is not stored on your device and is not a cookie. It is explained in the Privacy Policy, together with how long it is kept.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because this website does not track visitors, there is nothing for Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals to switch off. Your browser can still send them, and we respect the choice they express.
8. Why there is no cookie banner
European and Norwegian rules require consent before a website stores or reads information on your device, unless the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service that you have explicitly asked for. This follows from Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act.
The single entry described above does nothing except remember a display choice that you have just made yourself, and it never leaves your device. Because nothing else is stored and nothing tracks you, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add something that needs your consent, we will ask for it before anything is stored.
9. How to remove it or block it
You can remove the entry at any time by clearing the site data for this website in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows delete it automatically when you close them. If you block local storage or switch JavaScript off, the website still works; the footer sections simply stay open.
